Situation:
Our client in the aviation industry is a leading US company. They are a provider of transport, communications and security systems for aviation in the US. The client provided border management solutions for other governments across the globe including the UK government. They are one of our biggest clients who we have been successfully working with since 2004.
Challenge:
To guarantee in time delivery of the intensive volume of work, TransLinguist supervised several teams of translators and proof readers to ensure that each language combination could be rolled out concurrently. TransLinguist had to follow a tight turnaround time of 6 days. Within six days following the order confirmation, TransLinguist was able to deliver and the client was happy to receive a high quality of work in such a tight timeline. The client had their marketing materials ready for distribution within Europe’s airports.
Solution:
To boost airport border security, the client began working on a programme in 2009. The programme, provides a highly secure communication exchange on passenger information between airlines and airport border control agencies. Naturally, given the global nature of air traffic, meant the program needed to be rolled out in airports across the world. The requirement was to translate all the marketing materials including internet promotion campaigns, airline advertisements, ticketing airline magazines provided on board, audio visual and printed instructions given to customers on board, aircraft drawings, crew and cabintraining materials, freight documentation, aircraft logbooks, airworthiness directives, and engineering change orders. All these documents had to be translated from English into ten languages.

Situation:
Our client in the Education industry aims to improve opportunities for children and young people in Jordan and equip them with the right education, knowledge, skills, strategies, and values that will allow them to excel in a fast-paced and competitive world. Through its affiliations and initiatives, they aim to push the boundaries of education across the region within and beyond the classroom, and to promote positive change and counter the stagnation and decline of quality education and learning outcomes. TransLinguist has a long-term collaboration agreement with this client to provide language solutions across a number of language pairs including EN AR.
Challenge:

Solution:
To tackle the first challenge regarding urgent turnaround times, TransLinguist assigned a dedicated native speaking linguists, who had prior experience in the education industry which also ensured accurate terminologies. The dedicated linguistic team collaborated and passed ideas internally on how to split the workload without involving too many linguists on one project to ensure consistent translations. This is because translation is a subjective field and one linguist’s style of translation might differ from the other. They also created a glossary of words for the same client based on previous translations and utilized the terminologies where ever applicable. This allows TransLinguist to speed up the translation process in orderto meet the turnaround time, while utilizing the preferred terminologies for the client.
Energy & Mining
Situation:
The client is a petrochemicals company with a leading business in all continents with head office in Belgium. They’ve talented pool of 6000 employees. Their main product is polymers, which are used to make a host of plastic products that are indispensable to daily life in today’s world. The client brings together all of the petrochemicals activities and helps to valorise hydrocarbon derivatives – naphtha, butane and distillates.
Challenge:
The requirement of the client was to translate all documents related to REACH – Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals, Microstation files, HSE reports, patents technical specifications, and legal documents. They needed they documents to be translated into 23 languages. The source content was high volume consisting of 300,000 words. The content of these documents was highly specialised thereforeterminology management was utmost important to enable high quality of work otherwise any errors could’ve lead to serious impacts. Additionally, the deadlines were tight and TransLinguist ensured that high quality of work was submitted to reduce any errors and further readjustments.
Solution:
The content was very complex and specialized terminology, additionally, the volume of work was extensive and had to be translated to multiple languages, therefore TransLinguist was highly committed towards the project to provide exceptional service in due time. A dedicated project team was put in place, including a Project Manager, a Vendor Manager and a Quality Coordinator. They all agreed on the necessary linguistic resources that were able to fulfill the requirements above and beyond the expectations. A group of in-house proofreaders made sure that quality was maintained throughout the multiple language pairs. The client was more than satisfied with the quality or work received within the tight deadlines.
Engineering & IT
Situation:
Our client in the IT industry had requirements of translation of documents from Japanese to English language pair. The documents included operating manuals, training and installation manuals, minutes of meetings, brochures, and website materials. They also require support across their various product divisions, with content types that include. PLM software (Systems Engineering & Product Data Management), Online Help, Manuals and User instructions.
Challenge:
Our client had high expectations of translation quality and a tight turnaround deadline. The files were complex containing technical terminology, CAD Drawings, complex graphs, and non-editable figures. Formatting instructions were precise and there was a need to use extensive technical terminology. The client had zero error tolerance for their complex and technical requirements because accuracy and precision is very crucial in automotive translation. Serious repercussions might be faced if there is even a slight inaccuracy.
Solution:
To ensure the complex technical terminology was followed, our Project Management team arranged and assigned for expert translators in the field of automotive industry. Additionally, to provide technically accurate translations, in-house proofreaders were assigned who are subject matter experts who are familiar with the technical terminology of the industry and are experienced in the automotive industry. To ensure the strict timelines were followed and the deadlines were met without affecting the work quality, our dedicated team provided 24-hour support to the client. To completely adhere to the technical terminology lists, we used CAT tools to provide consistency and high quality. Translation memory helped accelerate the overall translation process. The project was translated systematically and accurately.
Financial Services
Situation:
The client is a renowned Big 4 Auditing & Consulting Firm that branches out to about 75 countries across the globe. It classifies as one of the largest corporates in the world, and is ranked in the top 4 internationally. TransLinguist and the client collaborated on a major project in 2019; one with an end to end delivery timeline of circa 4 weeks despite large volumes of 150,000+ words.
Challenge:
TransLinguist was required to translate 549 Pages of Financial Statements, each containing technical complexities and required substantial industry know-how to complete such translations. This was a timesensitive project and had to be delivered to the client within a 1-month timeframe. Delivering translated content via our experience production teams was not considered as a challenge, however ensuring formatting of the end product in line to the financial services industry proved testing. Other services also included translation of market analysis reports, disclaimers and fund regulations, equity and bond research, loan application documents, financial articles and cash flow statement documentation.
Solution:
The first project demanded different factions to work together in harmony in order to ensure the project was delivered in a timely manner. The dedicated Production team included 10 linguists who were working in close proximity with 5 desktop publishers. The tasks were divided amongst the resources and each pair (Linguist-Desktop Publisher) was provided an extract of documents to localise and a team of editors / proofreaders ensured the consistency of delivery was managed properly

Situation:
An individual client in the gaming sector developed a new game. They planned on making it local to a few of their target countries therefore the new game needed to be translated into five languages.
Challenge:
The client approached TransLinguist as they knew we are exceptionally placed to deal with such requests. Our network of professional translators extends around the world and we have experience of translating video games which made the client even more confident in selecting us. The language requirement required translators in Spanish, Italian, Russian, German and French all working simultaneously on the project. The project required translation services for graphics localization, user interface material, website translationsand localization packaging, user manuals and in-game advertising.
Solution:
To ensure the project requirements were met, TransLinguist team worked with top members to get the experts in the five required languages required. The linguists selected were based in five different countries and time zones, therefore we managed the team closely to ensure that all queries and stylistic points were shared across all the translators. Our client in the legal industry is a commercial law firm based in UK. They provide a wide range of legal services to businesses as well as individuals who are based in the UK and across the globe. Their services include corporate, levitation, property and dispute resolution.

The client required translation of legal materials including policies and contractual agreements, patents and trademark filings, litigation documents, immigration documents, legal disclaimers, articles of incorporation, confidentiality agreements, civil lawsuits, letters of credit translation, license translations and court interpretation services. The client required the legal materials and presentations to be localized and translated from English to Arabic and English to Mandarin (Chinese).
Solution:
TransLinguist assembled a qualified team of native speakers of Arabic and Mandarin translators who are subject matter experts with in-depth industry knowledge as strict legal terminology needed to be used in all the document localisation. Situation:
Our client in the agriculture and forestry industry are the world’s leading provider of advanced products and services for construction, lawn and turf care, landscaping and irrigation. For their product lines, they required global support across their varying project ranges.
Challenge:
The client was facing various problems of adapting their multiple manuals into CEE languages. They encountered multiple issues with the expanding alphabets of CEE language as they were causing disruptions to the templates and layouts of their various documents. They had a requirement for large work therefore were in search of a translation vendor who can handle the capacity and extensive volume. Multiple qualityassurance checks with an integrated ISO quality structure were to be followed by their chosen translation vendor. They had an extensive qualification process, at the end of which, TransLinguist was chosen as the only language solutions provider capable of meeting all their requirements.
Solution:
In partnering with TransLinguist, our client found value in an integrated translation, DTP and L10n solution. TransLinguist used DTP Template Services to adapt to the preferred layout of the client in order to host new languages without causing any disruptions to the original designs of the documents. We adapted the translation workflows to keep them in line with the processes of our clients while also maintaining the ISO quality focus at each step throughout the process. This enabled to ensure that each translation batch delivered to the clients was as per their requirements and expectations. Retail
Situation:
Our client in the retail industry is a world’s largest online educational resource for hairdressers with international licenses across 44 different countries. They wanted to launch training videos for their products in the Middle East. The scope of the project included website and product translation as well as the transcription, translation and localization of over 200 videos ahead of the high-profile launch event happening in the Middle East.
Challenge:
Amongst other challenges, the biggest was localizing western content towards the target audience in the Middle East, to make the liberal content more culturally appropriate for the conservative target. The client chose TransLinguist as we can provide not just Arabic translations but we also consider the various dialects that are used in the region and work accordingly. The client had full faith that our capabilities would ensure successful for their project.
Solution:
To ensure the sensitivity of the matter was addressed, TransLinguist used their Arabic localization experts who were specialist with expertise in the beauty industry. In addition, the team carried out culture research to ensure the western content was localized appropriately following all relevant latest trends in the industry. Consequently, key terminology glossaries were created and integrated into Translation Memory (TM) systems ensuring consistency across all the content. The video contents were first transcribed and then translated to create a proper script. Which was approved by the client for a native Arabic voiceover artist to record over the video ensuring it sounds professional and culturally appropriate. The client’s new website was launched alongside as well as marketing materials including marketing campaigns, catalogs and packaging, product specifications, and legal documents and policies. The content was well received by the audience and the client became the first company in the world to provide hairdressing training online in Arabic.
Social Media & Marketing
Situation:
Our client in the media industry is an online social networking giant. They required translation of public social media posts with the volume of work of 507,000 words to be translated from English into three Indian languages; Hindi, Tamil and Bengali. The turnaround time expected was 12 business days.
Challenge:
The turnaround time for this high volume project of translating into multiple languages is usually approximately ten weeks however, the client had a short window of two weeks. It was challenging to provide such a service in this short time frame while ensuring no compromise was made to the quality. The client also required intermittent deliveries of the translated text and the initial due date was within three days of the project commencement. For such a high volume and short project timeline, providing translations in multiple languages complicates the matter for the project management team who have to manage different linguists as well as meet different language needs.
Solution:
To ensure the tight timeline was followed and the project was successfully delivered, TransLinguist gathered a team of 9 capable linguists, three for each language pair to ensure the volume of work could be tackled. Our dedicated account managers ensured all client expectations were met and the language teams followed the client guidelines and requirements consistently. To deliver multiple batches for all the language pairs, project managers executed flawless management and used agile translation methods to ensure all tight deadlines were completely met. Project managers also ran quality checks and ensured all content was proofread.
Travel & Hospitality
Situation:
Our client in the railway sector develops and markets the most complete range of systems, equipment and services. The complete transport system is managed by them including signaling and infrastructure, taking in rolling stock, and offering turnkey solutions. The client operates in over 60 countries in the high speed train sector, and is rated amongst the top few best ones.
Challenge:
Their complex and terminologically demanding documentations had to be translated into the language pair of French into Italian, for which they used TransLinguist as their primary language service provider. The documents include a wide variety of technical documentation, user and maintenance manuals, training manuals, equipment and tool catalogs, online booking platforms, visitor guides, general documentation andmarketing materials. The translation work was complex as the terminology had to be kept consistent for the current documentations as well as future workload. All the technical documentation is updated once a year and TransLinguist must manage the localisation of these updates taking into account any modifications to terminology.
Solution:
To ensure their strict rules of terminology were adhered to, TransLinguist set up a glossary of words prior to the translation phase. More specifically, TransLinguist translated the main catalog detailing every component of a train, from doors to screws and from seats to washers. The translation was then converted into a glossary and integrated into the Computer-Assisted Translation (CAT) Tool. TransLinguist set up a translation memory in which all NTV-related translations are saved. This memory is shared between all members of the linguistic team. It is updated on an ongoing basis and any new translations are available in real-time to all linguists. This process improves terminology consistency significantly and the translation memory allows for high leverage when updating the documentation.
