UK Trade and Investment (Government/ Trade)
Our client in the government sector is from the UK and the department is in charge of organizations within UK who are seeking to expand their business overseas in order to boost international trade. The client also seeks to encourage overseas companies to establish trade links within UK and bring more business.
The client approached TransLinguist as they were aware of our previous clients as we have worked in conjunction with the government body on a study where we explored the role languages played in international trade. The UK Client required consecutive interpreters who are expert linguists in Mandarin and Russian. They needed two interpreters per language for a series of trade events on green energy, renewable and waste management in three cities in UK. The interpreters were to be engaged in one-to-one meetings with 60 foreign buyers and 100 delegates from UK where emotions and reservations about the concerned topic of discussion needed to be skillfully conveyed.
At TransLinguist, we ensured a dedicated team was assigned to this sensitive case. Our project managers made sure the organization and logistic process was smooth with addition to looking after all the travel arrangements, organization of the event itself.. They sourced the ideal linguists who had an in-depth knowledge of environmental engineering as well as business negotiations. It was a hectic situation but our expert linguists took control of the event as there were various negotiations involved and the client commented the event was successful.
Additionally to the event, the client also requested translation services of various documents including research and reports, legal/ diplomatic documents, bids, tenders and online and print communications.
